Dear Faculty and Staff Members,
It is that time of year again, when all students at Ventura College have the opportunity to apply for office in the upcoming Student Elections 2008 – 2009. To ensure an effective “Call for Candidates” is implemented, Associated Students will be hosting the first-ever ASVC Nominations Week after spring break. The three-day event will help boost the number of applicants by allowing students to nominate potential candidates, namely peers and themselves, as the next faces of Student Government.
Furthermore, each academic department on campus will be receiving ASVC Nomination Forms that are specially designed for faculty and staff members to recommend a student of their choice. However, under no circumstances will students be obligated to run for office if nominated. All nominees will only be sent a letter inquiring if they would consider becoming an Associated Students officer and participate in the annual Student Elections.
Please note all nomination forms must be submitted before Friday, April 4 in the Student Activities mailbox located inside the Administration (ADM) building. Refer to the following Student Elections Calendar for additional information.
