“I Question America”

“I Question America” depicts the life and impact of one woman, Fannie Lou Hamer had on our nation. The one woman show written, produced and performed by EP Mc Knight begins with Fannie Lou as a very young girl living and working on the plantation through her involvement with fighting for civil rights not only blacks but poor whites as well. Fannie Lou’s determination took her around the country protesting and speaking against racism in Mississippi and eventually addressing the Halls of Congress. Her efforts during the Civil Rights Movement assisted in getting the Voting Rights Act, Equal Employment and Federal Housing laws passed.
